KNOW MORE
ABOUT Me

I am an energetic, results-oriented, Aeronautical Engineer. Currently, I am an airplane development engineer in PD Aerospace company (on leave), and postdoctoral researcher at University of Alberta, Canada. I received a PhD degree from Kyushu University in Fukuoka, Japan, and completed MSc and BSc degrees in Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering from Cairo University, Egypt.

My research interests include guidance, control, embedded, and dynamics systems especially related to drone, robotics, and renewable energy systems.

For a long time, I have been using a lot of computer tools, engineering programs, and programming languages. When I face a problem, I could learn some tools quickly and solve the problem or generate some results.

The important thing is that I could learn in a fast way and get the job done ;)

EXPERIENCE

  • POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW (FULL TIME)

University of Alberta, Nanotechnology Research Centre August 2020- present

    • Develop algorithms to 1) identify different components of daily activity (e.g., lying, sitting, standing, walking, running, stair climbing/descending) of those with MS in the community, 2) characterize sitting and standing balance of MS patients. • Develop a feedback-based technology to recommend patients to behaviour change to minimize the MS-related symptom when detected. • Implement the developed technology in the real world to investigate the validity and suitability of the developed wearable technology. • Fine-tune and finalize the first prototype of the developed technology as a user-friendly technology that can be adopted by the patients and healthcare provider with minimal training.

  • AIRPLANE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER (FULL-TIME)

PD Aerospace company, LTD, Japan March 2020- Aug. 2020, present (On-leave)

    • Design and develop algorithms required for airplane X06 control system • Code software for control system of experiment of airplane X06. • Integrate, validate and test X06 software and electronic components. • Design, support and conduct X06 flight test. • Assist in space plane assembly. • Coordinate with suppliers for outsourced.

  • POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW (FULL TIME)

Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan Oct 2017- March 2020

    • Researcher assistant professor for undergraduate/graduate students, control systems. • Managing a team of 6 researchers to build and develop the 10-kW kite power project. • Design and built the control unit (KCU) for stabilizing the kite during flight. • Model and simulate model for variable-tether-length system. • Build a measurement unit and wireless communication system to measure the kite’s position and attitude then send these data to the ground station.

  • Intern, Airborne wind energy compony

Kitepowr, Delft, Netherlands April 2016 - July 2016

Training in the company team on dynamic modelling and control of the 20 m2 surface area kite aiming to maximize the generated electricity.

  • Intern, Egypt CAN-Sat

Space Systems Technology Laboratory (SSTL), Cairo, Egypt June 2011 - July 2013

Developed a circuit using an Mbed Microcontroller to interface with different sensors: pressure, temperature, accelerometer, gyroscope, GPS sensors, and wireless module XBEE. Also, organized Can-Sat Training Program (CTP2).

  • Intern, Hand-off maintenance course

Egypt Air company, Cairo Airport, Egypt, June 2008 - August 2008

Completed Hand-off Egypt Air company training course.

  • Intern, Hand-off maintenance course

Petroleum Air Service company, Cairo Airport, Egypt, June 2009 - August 2009

Completed Hand-off Petroleum Air Service company training course (PAS).
